John Matthews has been a law enforcement analyst for both CNN and FOX News for over 25 years and a reoccuring guest on Good Morning America. He is a Texas Press Association award-winning writer who has published six books and co-author of The Eyeball Killer, a true crime Book of the Month published by Pinnacle Books and Doubleday. John has been featured in D Magazine and Texas Monthly and on numerous podcasts including: My Favorite Murder, True Crime Broads, Texas Crime and Wine. Some of his television credits include: Forensic Files, People Magazine Investigates, HBO Autopsy, Evil I, Very Bad Men, Born to Kill, Murder by the Numbers, Mark of a Killer and World’s Most Evil Killers. His story is currently being developed into a feature film called the Eyes of Jefferson and John is serving as Executive Producer.
John is an award-winning winemaker and currently serves as President of the Texas Wine and Grape Gowers Association. He is a highly decorated law enforcement officer and was recently honored with a Lifetime Achievement award by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and the Office of the Governor in recognition of his career in law enforcement .
